Power Gain

Derringer has 6 power levels, adjustable on-the-fly. Even with the updated stock power figures for the 24+ models, Derringer puts down a best gain of +86 hp, pushing near 520 wheel hp to the road. Plus, the massive increase of +178 Ib-ft of torque is situated right in the heart of the power band where you need it most.
Level 6 produces best-in-class performance, while Levels 2-4 are optimized for work use with great mid-range feel with a loaded truck or towing a trailer.
Power You Can Use

Derringer's added power becomes even more pronounced when passing up a grade, while towing. Passing on the highway with a 20,065 lb GVW rig up a 7% grade, Derringer rocketed the truck from 45 mph to 70 mph a full 8.5 seconds quicker than stock.
Pushing on to 75 mph, the stock tune runs out of steam on the top end while Derringer continues to pull strong. The gap between stock and Banks widens to a full 12.41 seconds and nearly a quarter mile of separation.

Boost Control Where You Need It

We’ve built 26,000 JLTV engines for the U.S. Army using the same tuning approach that we’re now applying to your Duramax. The midrange is where you work your truck.
ActiveSafety® Health Monitoring

Derringer is the only tuner available with Active Safety® health monitoring circuitry:
- Internal diagnostics checks the system 100 times per second
- Checks MAP and FRP signals and monitors CPU activity
- Activates in the event of failure or loss of 12-volt power
- Bypass relays smoothly return stock power with no loss of power or "Limp Mode"
TransCommand® Active Transmission Safety System

Derringer High Output is calibrated to modulate power during shifts for better clutch engagement. Thanks to its OBD connectivity, Derringer knows when the GM/Allison 10-speed transmission is shifting gears. It reduces its added power momentarily to allow for a smooth shift. Competitive tuners have no idea or simply ignore when the transmission is shifting and continue to add power, overspeeding the transmission and causing long-term damage.
- Intelligent Shift Tuning — Gear shifts are optimized for each power level to protect the transmission and increase shift speed while protecting against torque converter and clutch slip.
- Accelerator Pedal Monitoring — Rolls in additional power progressively, optimizing for both part-throttle fuel economy and maximum power when you want it.
Includes iDash Powertrain Information Center

Total Throttle Control
Unlike conventional cable throttles, where your pedal is directly attached to the engine’s butterfly valve, electronic accelerator pedals are not mapped linearly. Part throttle drivability is often dampened as a means to stretch fuel economy, giving a mushy and unresponsive feel when on the road.
We spent months engineering smooth pedal contours that are a pleasure to drive. Others like Pedal Commander, have crude steps, making your pedal feel like an on-off switch. Your transmission responds by hunting for gears.

Choose Your Control

Pair the PedalMonster with an iDash Pro or Data Pro to be able to adjust pedal settings on the fly and open up a whole world of data not available on your vehicle’s dashboard. See what data iDash Pro can display for your vehicle.
With Bluetooth connectivity built in, new features and support for other vehicles can be added over-the air. No computer required.

Unique Safety Features

There are dozens of throttle controllers on the market, like Pedal Commander, Sprint Booster, iDrive, just to name a few. Each of them claims to be the most ADVANCED. As you see below, thanks to its OBD-II connectivity and patented safety features, no throttle controller compares to Banks’ patented PedalMonster.

Tune Your Sensitivity

City: Provides a smooth driving experience with a linear throttle feel and is tuned for daily driving.
Sport: Adds more sensitivity in the throttle midrange for a sportier throttle contour feel.
Track: Lets you get into your power sooner with less throttle input, helping push through turbo spool lag or delay.

OBD-II Connectivity Brings Safety

Other 'Boost Commanders' draw power from the accelerator pedal circuit itself, potentially overloading the circuit and leading to a dead pedal and an inoperable engine.
Every other throttle controller device has no clue what vehicle you are in, how fast you are going, and is unable to adapt dynamically to driving conditions.
